It all started back in 1979 in a small garage, where household appliances were repaired and refurbished.

At the helm is Philip Steensen, third generation in the family-owned company, who both runs the online side of the store and helps out across the entire business.

“I have a bit too much energy to sit behind a desk,” Philip laughs.
“I run the webshop, but I also help in the store and out in the field — I’m a bit of an octopus.”

The journey towards e-commerce truly began in the mid-2010s, when Philip stepped in to help his father. The webshop started small, but during COVID, online sales exploded — and it became clear that e-commerce was a crucial part
of the future.

and if they buy a washing machine, they’re shown a matching tumble dryer,” Philip says.

“Customers who interact with our recommendations have, on average, a basket that is 150% larger than those who don’t.”

Korsør Hvidevarecenter also uses Clerk Chat, which Philip describes as “a really great and important employee.”

“The chat is there 24/7 to help customers online — but it also helps our store staff and our service technicians out in the field,” he explains.

The team is now working on expanding the chat with a complete database of appliance error codes, so both customers and employees can easily find answers — and in many cases solve the problem themselves without ordering spare parts.

“For us, customer service is everything,” Philip says.
