Whether you're setting it up solo or with help from the Clerk team, this guide walks you through the first steps to go live fast.

🛒 Step 1: Create Your Store

  • Give your store a name
  • Enter your domain
  • Set your language and currency
  • Select your webshop platform (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce)

Clerk will now tailor the setup guide to your specific tech stack.

🛠️ Step 2: Follow the Setup Guide

Your setup has 4 parts:

  1. Install the Plugin or connect via API
  2. Sync your catalog (products, categories, orders)
  3. Create your designs (recommendation banners, search boxes, emails)
  4. Add Clerk elements to your live site

You can return to the setup guide anytime via “Getting Started” at the top.

🌍 Multi-language or Multi-domain?

No problem. Just create one store per domain/language.
Then:

  • Set up the first store completely
  • Use the “copy configuration” feature for the next
  • Sync it with the new domain

No need to repeat the full setup.

🔧 After Go-Live: Navigating my.clerk.io

Once you’re live:

  • The setup guide moves to the “Settings” tab
  • Each tool (Search, Recommendations, Email, Audience) has its own section
  • Merchandising rules can be managed without coding
  • All synced data is viewable from the “Site” menu
