Legacy search indexing is now 7–10× faster

We have made a major speed improvement to legacy search indexing in Clerk.io. Catalog updates now reach search 7–10× faster, and a full catalog analysis completes roughly 2× faster.

That means less waiting for Search and Recommendations to reflect the newest information in your catalog.

Catalog changes reach search much sooner

When product data changes, it needs to be processed before the latest information can influence what shoppers see.

With the upgraded indexing process, those catalog updates now land in legacy search 7–10× faster. Changes such as newly added products and updates to availability, pricing, or product attributes can become relevant to the shopping experience much sooner.

Full catalog analysis is roughly twice as fast

The improvement also speeds up complete catalog processing.

A full catalog analysis now takes roughly half the time it did before. This is especially useful when a larger set of product information needs to be analyzed rather than a smaller incremental update.

Fresher Search and Recommendations

Faster processing shortens the gap between changing catalog data and using that information in Clerk.io.

In practice, this means shoppers spend less time seeing results based on older catalog information. Search results and product recommendations can catch up with the latest available data sooner, helping the experience stay relevant as the catalog changes.
